HR in Hosp and Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, ILR School
5th Annual HR in Hospitality™ Conference & Expo, which will be held April 4 - 6, 2011,
at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C.
We invite you to submit proposals for consideration on topics that will deliver knowledge on HR management, employment law, and labor relations topics as they specifically relate to HR professionals who work in the hospitality industry. Topics of greatest interest are: How hospitality organizations and HR functions are adapting to a difficult economy; best practices in HR for the hospitality industry (domestic US or international), especially in talent management, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, strategic management in a difficult economy; solving HR issues specific to hotels/resorts/casinos, restaurants, mid-market companies, and international hospitality organizations; leading-edge advice on labor and employment law issues in the hospitality industry; succession planning systems, employment branding.

Preferred presentation formats include: interactive sessions that integrate traditional lecture with PowerPoint slides, supplemental materials, and Q&A; vendor/client or partner organization case studies (including PowerPoint slides, supplemental materials, small group discussion and/or Q&A) showing how the participants addressed an issue critical to HR in the hospitality industry; small group discussion sessions with supplemental materials, in which directed, interactive attendee learning is emphasized; panel discussions with ample opportunity for audience Q&A.
Panel sessions may have a moderator and two or three panelists; other sessions may have one or two senior-level facilitators. We do NOT seek general session/keynote speakers.
